Fundraising

Info on our new squad truck, thanks to your generous donations.

While we receive funding from the township and state governments, we hold several fundraisers throughout the year to raise money to continue operations.

These include:

Chicken BBQs
Quilt & Consignment Auction
Soup & Sandwich Sales and Candy Sales
Mailing Fund Drive

We also sell reflective address signs to residents of our "first due" area. For more information on these signs, see any member or stop by the station.

Our 2008 Fund Drive Is Underway

The volunteer firefighters of the West Earl Fire Company (WEFC) have been serving the residents of West Earl Township and the surrounding communities throughout Lancaster County since 1937. In 2007, WEFC responded to 268 fires, vehicle crashes, rescues, hazardous materials and public service calls.

Your continued generosity and financial support is needed to allow us to continue to serve you, the residents and visitors to West Earl Township, in your time of need.

This year we are replacing our 1985 Chevy Suburban Squad Vehicle with a 2008 Ford F-550 Squad-Utility Truck. The new squad truck will allow us to better serve the families and friends of West Earl Township.

WE NEED YOUR SUPPORT AND HELP

Last year we raised $55,000 during our fund drive. Our goal this year is $60,000.

Remember - the better our equipment and training, the better we can protect you, your loved ones, and your property.

WE NEED YOUR HELP!

We mailed out 2481 fund drive letters during the last week of March. As of 7/3/08 we have had 469 returned. That is only a 19% response.

In addition to responding to emergency calls twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, our members spend many additional hours training, maintaining the equipment, conducting fund raising, and other activities all in an effort to provide you with the best protection available. No members receive any pay for all of this.

Please help us provide you with the very best protection by returning your letter with as generous a donation as you can afford.
